Swift Response to Community Tragedy

A devastating fire on 10 November destroyed one block of a 22-door longhouse, displacing nearly 190 residents and tragically claiming one life while injuring another.

As a proudly Sarawakian company based in Miri, with nearly 90% of our workforce comprising locals from the Dayak and Orang Ulu communities – including some directly affected by this incident – we felt compelled to act swiftly.

Providing Essential Support

Managing Director Tommy Raymond Jok led the handover of essential items at our Piasau office, including clothing, kitchen utensils, gas stoves, kettles, and food supplies.

“Our annual CSR programmes are important to us, but this year we redirected all efforts to provide urgent household needs while the community awaits rebuilding support from the government.”

We remain open to further collaboration with village leaders for potential long-term initiatives, such as safety awareness programmes, aligning with our core focus on safety.
